About this job

Friday afternoons... They’re pointless. You’d be better off taking that time back, rather than wasting it at work. Which is why, if you worked here, you’d be finished work for the weekend before you have your lunch. Don’t worry, it won’t affect your salary, you won’t have to do overtime and your work life balance is still respected. With a no ego approach to business, you won’t just feel listened to, you’ll feel integral to the business. Everyone does. It all seems to create a really nice atmosphere. Which is how a company of 20 odd almost never has to replace staff. That size is a sweet spot for progression too. You’ll get an opportunity to get promoted to Associate in the next couple of years. That works by taking on more responsibility, and there’s loads of scope for that in a growing Education sector, and a team that isn’t remotely top heavy. There’s a flexible approach to work from home. A lot do a day a week, if you want or need more then it’s there. It’s the kind of practice that does its best for the people that work there. Though they do compete on project size they’re not a massive national. They give decent bonuses when they can, they support a flexible way of working, and pay as much as they’re able. What you’ll be doing:
  • Working on a wide range of Primary and Secondary Education buildings from small extensions and refurbs to new large scale developments. Includes Priority School Programme projects and SEND specific works.
  • It’s an all rounder type job with a focus on project management, delivery and existing client / account management.
  • You won’t JUST do Education, though it will be your most common project type. It’s important to keep a bit of variety and mix it up.
What you’ll need:
  • To be an experienced Qualified Architect.
  • To have experience in Education as a sector.
  • All projects are undertaken as BIM Level 2 projects, experience using Revit is required.
