About this job

If you could pick a company perk or benefit, what would it be? Would you choose a 10% Bonus? £4000 in a lump sum is a lot of money. You can do a lot with it. Would you choose plenty of annual leave? 26 days could just be the starting point. Imagine having the ability to buy another 10 to give yourself more than 7 weeks. At any time. What if you could add in a day working from home? That could add up to 12 ‘working weeks’ where you’re not in the office. Imagine if you got 10 paid days every year to go on courses or attend CPD of your choosing too. That makes it 14 weeks at least that you're changing up your surroundings, out of the office, on a bit of jolly… A practice like this would offer enhanced maternity and paternity leave no doubt. It’d probably be the same with the pension, which would be much better than the standard government regulation version. There would be core hours, but everything around those could be completely flexible. Start late, finish late. Start late, finish early, catch up next week. Hang on though, it would be typical to have all of this and end up working it off with loads of over time wouldn’t it? Or maybe the Boss is tyrannical, just pure evil. There would be no need to pick and choose out of these benefits if you had this job. There is no overtime. The Boss is sound, and there are hundreds of staff across the UK who already enjoy these benefits inside this architectural practice. So which of these major perks are you missing out on right now? In most practices it’d be all of them. What you’ll be doing:
  • There’ll be a focus on the Healthcare sector. Not many people associate Healthcare projects with Stirling Prizes. But that’s the direction they’re going in.
  • The projects tend to be on the larger, more complex side rather than smaller more basic one off units. Though there is a bit of everything.
  • As the practice is pushing towards a very design lead direction, there’s plenty of front end / early stage / creative design for you to do on every project.
  • You’ll be meeting clinicians regularly to take briefs, present those ideas and to get to know them.
  • You could be leading delivery teams and large packages, small to medium projects or initiatives and ideas for the practice.
What do I need to get the job!?
  • Ideally you’ll be a qualified Architect.
  • Have at least some experience in Healthcare already.
  • Revit Experience.
