About this job
Have you ever worked anywhere thatâs promoted you twice in 9 months? Where youâve
had ÂŁ15,000 worth of pay rises in the first year? AND a significant bonusâŚ
It just wouldnât be possible in most practices. But itâd be one of several case studies youâd know
all about if you worked here.
Practices donât grow quickly enough to progress good people that could be doing more.
Thatâs why in most Architectural Practices, you sort of move up the ladder only by default. Not
because youâre good.
How long will you have to wait for the next step?
In this job, youâd be working for a business that is flexible enough to put you up the ladder
tomorrow if youâre performing. The growth is there, so the need is there.
You wonât feel like you have to try and go into design management or into a developer for a
decent salary or decent benefits either.
On top of the money side, thereâs an exceptional maternity / shared leave policy, there are 28
days holiday, an electric car scheme, and an element of private healthcare.
Youâd work in a business that takes social value and corporate responsibility very seriously. Not
just a box tick. You could enjoy paid volunteer days away from work, planting trees in nature,
discussing the role of an Architect at schools or helping out at food banks.
Youâd also be engaged and challenged enough to stay awake all week. Thereâs Primary /
Community Care and more acute Health work as a loose core in the region, but there are also
underground bunkers for Hospitality, very innovative adaptive re-use, city centre master plans
and imaginative sustainable civic buildings and concepts across the business and the work is
shared around the Studios.
As much variety as you want.
What youâll do
â Youâll be project lead and client lead on a big variety of sector and building types.
Sometimes itâll be all stages, sometimes itâll be delivery or more focus on the early
stages.
â Youâll work in Revit, on collaborative projects.
â Youâll be out and about regularly in a job that includes account managing clients, and
being the lead contact with contractors and other disciplines.
What youâll need:
â Significant experience as an Architect.
â Project leadership experience.
â Revit experience.
â Youâll be used to working on large complex building types.
