About this job
Forget red tape, forget sitting in on endless grievances and forget not feeling listened to.
Here youâll bring in your own systems and processes, so youâll be comfortably working how you
want from day one.
There might be the odd grievance youâll advise on but this is a strategic job, where youâll own
the HR agenda and grow your own small team.
Thereâll be plenty of variety, and youâd be involved in lots of projects, an early one might be
managing the creation of content for a bespoke L&D platform for example.
From day one youâll be listened to, and your good ideas will be implemented. Those ideas will
also be attributed to you, and youâll get the recognition and praise.
Which is made better by the fact that youâll get a significant annual bonus, even more significant
the more you contribute.
Short term the job would be for you to head up the general people function, things like
recruitment and onboarding, but it wonât take away from the main Culture element of the job,
thereâs already a small team in place for you to delegate to.
Thereâd be a serious reward on offer if you âstuck it outâ here. Theyâre aiming to almost double in
size within a few years. Which means your responsibilities will grow, as will your team to cope
with it. Your salary, titles and benefits will always reflect what youâre doing and what level youâre
at.
You would be working with an Architectural Practice of 300 people. Architects are a really
creative and interesting type of professional. Youâll enjoy how collaborative they are and thereâs
a real mix of personality types. They also create brilliant workplace environments that youâll
enjoy being around.
What youâll be doing
â Managing the general people function including a small team.
â Evolving the current HR function in a way that works for you.
â Managing the creation of L&D content.
â Involving yourself heavily in the company's corporate responsibility and sustainability
concepts.
â Helping with Recruitment and leading onboarding.
â Working with 300 staff across a dozen studios in the UK.
What youâll need
â Youâll need to be an experienced HR / People professional, currently at around Senior
HRbusiness partner level.
â Ideally you will have worked closely with and delegated to an advisor in the past.
Someone youâll mentor.
â Youdonât have to have worked in Construction or with Architects in the past, but working
with any kind of professional services or other white collar businesses would be a big
thumbs up.
â Itâs not vital but having some experience of handling L&D, even a small amount would be
ideal.
