About this job
A 98% staff retention rate in 2023 isn’t something worth bragging about.
It’s totally gloat worthy, and probably better than any other Architectural practice in the UK with more than 3 employees. They’ve got over 100.
If you’re a Technician / Technologist you can rest assured that they don’t just look after Architects. In fact they avidly promote Techs into Associate and Director positions.
Salaries are good, the holidays are brilliant and there are only 3 days in the office. The rest of your working week you can work where suits you best.
You’d work somewhere that gets a lot right for their employees for once.
You’d get regular reviews that happen when they’re supposed to. These are there to support you towards more seniority, senior management, to develop your skills and give you annual pay rises so you can keep up with and beat inflation.
Maybe you’d actually be able to afford tea out or a night out every once in a while like people used to.
Architects in general don’t tend to run things in a business like fashion. They’re not in it for profit, they rarely make a decent one, and if they do it’s not in Glasgow. It’s probably in London.
Here, it’s the opposite. It’s stable, it’s affluent. You wouldn’t have to just focus on logistics or industrial or other boring sectors to achieve that like others in a similar position. You wouldn’t even touch those project types. It’s attractive, noteworthy stuff, with a variety that touches every part of the UK. All from Glasgow.
You’d work somewhere that takes their environmental responsibilities seriously. B Corp certification shows that.
You’d get paid charity days where you can help out in communities, plant trees or do anything that’s important to you. They also stick to the living wage for all junior, operational and administrative / support staff.
Imagine if you worked somewhere that took social value seriously like this. Not just a box tick.
