About this job

Do you LOVE Logistics? Sheds? Like Elon Musk? He's built loads of them, and erm, Fred Dibnah... he had a good one too, I think. There’s no getting around it, you’ve got to lean into logistics projects to do this job. And if you really do know the sector, it may really pay off for you. Because you’ll be going into a new team, where there’s already a Director heading it up but nobody else. You’ll be the right hand, the number two. In 12 months when it’s a team of 8, you’ll still be their right hand. In 3 years when the team is 30 strong, you’ll be the team's Technical Director. Sure, the money’s great, and the bonus is so good you can pay 2 years worth of holidays off in one go. But it’s that progression that is unbeatable. You’d be going into a business that knows how to go from 3 to 300 people in little over a decade because that’s what they’ve done. Having a track record at never failing in 18 sectors means that when this business chooses to do something, they do it properly. Meaning you really can plan for high end cars, to travel more, for bigger properties. You could be an experienced Senior Technologist right now or a Technical Associate, can you honestly say that you’re in for the same deal where you are? The reason this company has a less than 10% staff turnover is because they stick to their promises. Oh, and you’ll still get to do other sector types. Logistics will just be the most common. Everyone needs occasional variety. Day to Day:
  • At first it’ll be really hands on. But the rest of the team will start falling into place within days and weeks of you starting. (Bring your best with you).
  • You’ll find yourself busy with your own projects but more and more you’ll manage the project managers. You’ll sign off on others work, you’ll supervise, support, motivate and manage your team straight away.
Requirements:
  • Experienced Architectural Technologist / Technician or Technically Orientated Architect.
  • Experience in logistics or sheds or very similar project types.
  • The company uses Revit, everyone including the MD is on the tools, even if just from time to time.
